Scholarships

To support the mission of the Falck Foundation, one scholarship will be offered to graduate or post-graduate level students in fields of interest to the Foundation.

Your opportunity

The Falck Foundation Scholarship Programme will annually award a one year grant of 10.000 euros during the final year of study towards a graduate or post-graduate degree at an accredited university or similar institution.

Objective

Falck Foundation offer scholarships to support graduate training of some of the best students in fields of academia that supports the objectives of the Falck Foundation.

The objectives of the FALCK FOUNDATION are to support scientific research and education targeting all aspects of prehospital care delivery including:

  • quality metrics and measurement strategies
  • administration, logistics and operations
  • effectiveness and safety of clinical care delivered by prehospital care providers
  • scope of practice of prehospital care providers
  • education and training of prehospital care providers
  • cost effectiveness of prehospital care delivery
  • national healthcare policy, legislative frameworks and financial models related to prehospital care delivery

 

The Scholarships

The scholarship amounts to 10,000 euros for a full year and cannot be prolonged. Shorter periods can be applied for. For up to six months after the expiration of the scholarship, an allowance of max. 1,000  euros for the student to participate in international meetings to present the results of the project may be applied for prior to the meeting.

Basic conditions

  • Students must be enrolled at an accredited university or similar institution.
  • Suggested fields of study include, but are not limited to: medical science, political and economic science.
  • You are working on an academic project related to completion of your degree program under the supervision of a university academic advisor
  • If granted a Falck Foundation scholarship we expect you not to take on any paid job in the scholarship period.

Contact person

The project will be followed by a contact person from the Falck Foundation, Medical Advisory Board. The contact person will follow the project and occasionally give good advice. However, the contact person has no formal tutorial responsibilities.

Location of the project

The student’s base is at anaccredited university or similar institution. The student may, however, spend some time at Falck A/S and subsidiary companies.

The project

The research project must be of high scientific quality and enthusiastically supported by both the university supervisor and the contact person at the Falck Foundation, Medical Advisory Board.

Call for application

The application deadline is 1. June 2010 with funding starting 1. September 2010.
